We are a limited liability company founded from the restructuring of the former China National Engineering Research Center for Laser Processing. This restructuring was authorized by National Planning Committee in 1997, the official year we were established. We are the principal subsidiary of Huagong Tech Co., Ltd., which is domestically listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
We are fortunate to have the institutional support and expertise of a cross-discipline team at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) as well as the backing of their laser technology laboratory. Within China, we have always been at the leading edge of the research and development of laser technology and its application. In fact, we have now become the authoritative supplier of holistic solutions for laser processing.
We are focused on three principal fields of use for our laser devices. These are laser marking and engraving systems, laser welding machines and whole sets of high power laser processing systems. In addition to these three categories, we produce equipment for the manufacture of laser arts and crafts and laser weld diamond tools.

At our 16,143 square meter premises, we employ 314 people, and have achieved an annual turnover of USD 16,800,000 in 2002 and USD 24,100,000 in 2003. Our registered capital is USD 15,000,000. We have been involved in the international market for five years and built up a customer base in our key export markets, which are in eastern and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, eastern Europe and North America, and presently the percentage of total turnover taken from exports is 10%.
